    • Assist in the deployment and support of scalable, de-coupled microservices

    • Support ‘bare metal’ tech whilst leveraging cloud-level scalability through containerisation and distributed workloads

    • Establish and manage networking protocols between servers to facilitate efficient communication and data transfer.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine hardware and software requirements for new servers, and provide recommendations based on organizational needs

    • Assist in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions, facilitating secure communication between on-premises infrastructure and AWS

    • Assist in deploying internal services in the cloud (AWS), ensuring seamless integration with on-premises infrastructure and optimizing networking between on-premises and cloud environments

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to server infrastructure, networking, and cloud deployments to minimize downtime

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, network layouts, and deployment processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure system integrity

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

    • 5+ years of experience in related roles

    • Proven experience in setting up, deploying, and managing internal distributed server infrastructure, particularly on Linux systems

    • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies and experience with VM management

    • An Infrastructure-As-Code mindset

    • Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and networking between on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments

    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment

    • Experience scaling and supporting big data workloads, using technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed processing technologies.

    • Familiarity with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes and managing Kubernetes, is beneficial

    • Knowledge of AWS services and experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure

    • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation tasks.

This role would work on established products as well as work with the Tech Team on the testing and development of products in various stages of R+D. The candidate will need a wholistic understanding of the technology at hand and experience with electronics and RF is preferred. This role will involve hand soldering and experience in soldering cables and PCBAs is required.

    The position will report primarily to the Manufacturing Team Lead and will work closely with other members of the Production Team, Design Team and the Procurement Team. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for technology who wants to develop their career in a fast moving ASX listed defence technology company.

    Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations

    • Assemble DroneShield products and closely follow build documentation

    • Test DroneShield products using a variety of test equipment such as VNAs and spectrum analysers

    • Fill out travellers and QC records during assembly

    • Soldering of PCBA components during production or for R+D

    • Assembly of cables

    • Assist the Tech Team with anechoic chamber testing
