DroneShield Access Portal Recognised with Australian Good Design Award

Award provides independent recognition of DroneShield’s investment in making counter-UAS technology easier to access, manage and support throughout the customer lifecycle.

Sydney, Australia – 7 October 2026 – DroneShield today announced that its Access Portalhas been recognised with an Australian Good Design Award, providing independent recognition of the company’s focus on improving the experience of operating, managing and supporting counter-UAS technology.

The DroneShield Access Portal was developed around a straightforward objective: make it easier for customers to access the information, software and support they need to keep their DroneShield technology operational and current.

Through a centralised digital environment, customers can access product resources, manage software and firmware updates, obtain technical information and connect with support services without navigating multiple disconnected channels. The Access Portal provides a more streamlined experience designed around the practical requirements of operators and organisations in the field.

“Counter-UAS technology doesn’t stop at the point of delivery,” said Angus Bean, CEO of DroneShield. “Customers need straightforward access to updates, information and support throughout the life of the product. Access Portal was built to remove unnecessary friction and make that experience as simple as possible. Recognition from the Australian Good Design Awards is meaningful because it validates the work our teams have put into designing around the customer.”

Extending the Customer Experience Beyond the Product

The recognition comes as DroneShield continues to expand the infrastructure and services surrounding its counter-UAS technology.

DroneShield recently launched Mission Ready Services, a dedicated services offering designed to help customers maintain operational readiness throughout the lifecycle of their technology. The offering brings together eLearning, sustainment, technical support and other operational services to provide customers with more consistent support beyond initial delivery.

Together, Access Portal and Mission Ready Services reflect a broader investment in reducing complexity for customers, from deployment and training through ongoing software updates, sustainment and support.

As DroneShield’s global customer base continues to grow, the company is investing not only in new counter-UAS technology, but also in the tools, services and infrastructure required to make that technology easier to deploy, operate and maintain.

“Good design in this environment is ultimately about usability,” Bean said. “Whether it is the technology itself, the digital tools around it or the services supporting it, the goal is the same: make it easier for customers to stay ready and get the most from their DroneShield capability.”

“Counter-UAS technology doesn’t stop at the point of delivery. Customers need straightforward access to updates, information and support throughout the life of the product. Access Portal was built to remove unnecessary friction and make that experience as simple as possible. ”
