DroneShield has today released an ASX announcement with regards to a Memorandum of Understanding between DroneShield and Public Telecommunication Co (STC Specialized).

Statement On The Gatwick Shutdown

Sydney Australia and Warrenton, Virginia, USA - DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO or DRO.AU) (“DroneShield”), a publicly-traded leader in the emerging industry of drone security solutions, notes the recent events at Gatwick Airport (UK).
According to press reports and statements by UK government officials, one or more drones were flown by unknown operators in the airport’s airspace, causing the airport to shut down all air traffic for a period of approximately 48 hours.

Zain Purchases DroneShield’s Equipment

DroneShield Ltd (the “Company” or “DroneShield”) is pleased to announce that, following the execution of a Teaming Agreement with Kuwait’s Zain Group (“Zain”), a US$7 billion leader in telecommunications in the Middle East, announced to the market on 5 December 2018, Zain has now placed an order for DroneShield’s equipment. While the value of the order is not material to DroneShield’s overall revenues, it represents an important step in the evolution of DroneShield’s relationship with Zain.

Teaming Agreement With Thales

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) (“DroneShield" or the “Company”), a worldwide leader in counterdrone solutions, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Teaming Agreement (the “Agreement”) with Thales Programas De Electronica Y Comunicaciones S.A.U. (“Thales”) (a Spanish subsidiary of Thales S.A.), whereby Thales will utilise and promote DroneShield’s products in its defence and security contract bids in Spain involving counterdrone aspects.

Governmental Australian Military Sales Catalogue 2019

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) (“DroneShield" or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its products DroneGunTM, DroneSentryTM and DroneSentinelTMhave been approved for inclusion in the 2019 Australian Military Sales Catalogue, maintained by AMS (Australian Military Sales), a Directorate within the Australian Government’s Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group.

DroneShield Adds Key U.S. Distribution Partners

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO)(“DroneShield" or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has added several key distribution partners for the United States market.
United States has the largest defence budget globally, with over US$600 billion committed in 2018. Relevantly, within the 2019 budget, US$1.5 billion has been allocated towards drone countermeasures specifically.

U.S. Regulator Approves $3.2m Order For 70 DroneGuns

On 14 June 2018,DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO)(“DroneShield" or the “Company”) advised the market that it had received a $3,200,000 order for 70 DroneGunsTMfor use by a Middle Eastern Ministry of Defence. The announcement stated that the Company’s ability to fulfil the order was subject to approval by the relevant U.S. regulator, and that there were no guarantees that the approval for that particular order would be granted. The Company is pleased to advise that the relevant U.S. governmental approval has now been granted.

United States / Canada Joint Certification Program DD2345

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO) (“DroneShield" or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that the United States Defense Logistics Agency, the logistics combat support agency of the United States Department of Defense, has certified DroneShield’s subsidiary DroneShield LLC under the United States / Canada Joint Certification Program DD2345 (militarily critical technical data agreement).
